Breast cancer survivors and one guest are invited to stop by our Survivor Breakfast. Join us at your leisure in the Wichita Boathouse between 7:00 and 9:30 am. Breakfast is provided by Dillons. The survivor parade and photo will start at the Boathouse before the Family Fun Walk; photo at 9:30, parade at 9:45.
Grab yourself and 5 of your friends and join forces in the first ever Wichita Race for the Cure 10k Relay Challenge. Each member of your team will be responsible for 1 mile of the 10k course with the final "anchor" runner being responsible for the final 1.2 mile stretch to the Finish Line. Each team will be outfitted in their own unique color participant shirt. Your co-workers, friends, and family will also have the ability to purchase extra shirts of your team color to show their support for your relay team.
Get your running shoes on for our 10k Race which is a certified course by the USAFT. Chip timing is included in your registration for the Competitive Run. If you just want to say that you completed the 10k, sign up for the Non-competitive event and enjoy a nice leisurely stroll along our 6.2 mile course. The course runs down McLean Boulevard almost to 13th Street and back along the Arkansas River until you cross the Start/Finish Line near the Boathouse.
The competitive event features a 5K course certified by the USAFT. Chip timing is included in your registration fee for the Timed event. For those that want to run or walk at their own pace, the non-competitive event will be on the same 5K course that is certified by the USAFT. The Race course will take you over the Arkansas River, through a small portion of Downtown, past the Keeper of the Plains and Mid-American All-Indian Center, and finally past Lawrence-Dumont Stadium before crossing the Finish Line.
A perfect ending to a morning full of celebration of our breast cancer survivors. Enjoy a beautiful walk along the Arkansas River with everyone in the family. Bring the whole family and enjoy a more leisurely pace while continuing to make an impact against breast cancer.
